Sylvan
Since 2004, we import spawn from the Sylvan company (Hungary). We distribute the spawn in Bulgaria but we also use for our own growing needs. The Sylvan spawn suits with a large range of composts and produces a high output and an excellent quality of white agaricus bisporus.
The main strains imported in Bulgaria are the mid-range white hybrids (A15, S130) and the large off-white hybrid (608).
The A15 strain, the latest strain launched on the European and American markets, produces smooth and round caps. This strain can produce caps of the similar sizes to the large "off-white" hybrid strains. It is versatile when grown on a large range of composts and growing systems. This strain produces mushrooms of excellent quality which are ideals for fresh markets.
The S130 strain was selected in the Cabot Laboratory Research & development in USA for his skills to colonize the compost quickly which reduces the time from casing to harvesting. This strain is one of the most cultivated in the world.
The 608 strain, created by the Research & development Laboratory of Somycel in France, produces large caps, well rounded and smooth.
The spawn imported from Hungary is stored in our fridge rooms from 1°C to 3°C.
